The Clipper Race is one of the biggest challenges of the natural world — an endurance test over 40,000 nautical miles, around the world, on a 70-foot ocean racing yacht, with no previous sailing experience necessary. Working with the Clipper Yacht marketing team and Unicef to brand the 20th anniversary of the race, a ‘Play Among The Stars’ event theme was brought to life on invites, menus and large screen displays, culminating in a very gratifying £330,000 being raised for charity.
The brand device was formed from visuals of a time lapse of the sky at night, and then worked through the event theme.
The event branding was a huge success and seeing it in-situ was a very proud moment for the whole team at SandisonPay.
The invitations had to be special and we worked extensively with our printers to achieve this effect, with the final invitations being tri-bonded, colourplan stock at an overall weight of 650gsm. Colour foil was also added and each part of the device was embossed.
I know I pushed everyone hard on this as we had a lot resting on it, you certainly delivered an outstanding event that you should be very proud of.
